Dusan Makel, LPCC-S, MBA

Dusan Makel is chief executive officer of OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital – Dublin. In this role, he oversees hospital operations, clinical program development, certifications, licensure and compliance standards and strategic planning.

Before taking this role, Dusan served as chief executive officer of Regency Hospital - Oregon. Prior to joining Select Medical, Dusan was chief executive officer at an Encompass Health inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He has over 24 years of health care experience, including various leadership positions. As a seasoned leader, he has extensive experience enhancing patient safety, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care and fostering innovation.

Dusan holds a dual master’s degree in clinical counseling from Ashland University and business administration from Ohio Dominican University.
