Leadership

  • Eric Yap, R.N., DBA, M.S., MHA, CRRN, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer

    Eric has more than 22 years of clinical and leadership experience in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University and is trained as an advance practice nurse. He is board-certified in rehabilitation nursing and health administration and is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. Prior to joining OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, he performed regional operational oversight of inpatient, outpatient and long-term acute care rehabilitation programs.

    Lisa Lombard, M.D., Medical Director

    Dr. Lombard received her undergraduate degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed an internship and residency at Northwestern University Medical School. She is board-certified in physical medicine and spinal cord injury medicine, and fellowship-trained in brain injury medicine.

    Tonya Johnson, R.N., MSN, Chief Nursing Officer

    Tonya received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Georgia South University and a master's degree in nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to becoming the CNO, Tonya practiced for the past 16 years as a nurse practitioner in emergency and critical care medicine. Most recently she was employed by the State of Ohio – Office of Correctional Healthcare where she managed the inmate oncology program. She has more than 23 years of experience as a nurse. Aside from holding multiple leadership positions at Dekalb Hospital and Emory University Hospital, she has experience in quality improvement and survey readiness.

    Michelle Holmes, R.N., MSN, Nurse Manager (4 North)

    Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio University and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Capital University.  She has more than 12 years of experience as a nurse holding leadership positions and clinical expertise is orthopedics, critical care and medical / surgical nursing. Prior to joining OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, Michelle was an administrative nurse manager at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital.

    Susan Barrows, R.N., Nurse Manager (4 South & West)

    Susan has more than 15 years of experience as a registered nurse. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Hocking College and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in nursing. Her clinical expertise is in the area of critical care and subacute nursing care. For the past 13 years, she provided nursing leadership as a nurse manager and nursing supervisor for Select Specialty Hospital — prior to joining the nursing leadership team at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital.

    Kimberly Leib, R.N., CRRN, PPS Manager

    Kim has more than 20 years of nursing experience, with 12 years of experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She graduated from the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and is certified in rehabilitation nursing. Previously, she worked at Berger Hospital as a staff nurse on the rehabilitation unit and home health. She is a five-time recipient of the Star of Excellence Award.

    Stephany Huseman, M.S., SLP-CCC, Director of Rehabilitation Services

    Stephany has more than 15 years of experience as a speech language pathologist and therapy manager. She obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University with a focus in speech / language and communication disorders. In addition, has undergraduate degrees in business and information technology. Her clinical areas of focus have been subacute, skilled nursing and critical care. Prior to joining OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, Stephany was a regional manager of operations overseeing the therapy departments in 14 facilities.

    Renae Miller, MSW, LSW, Director of Business Development

    Renae received her bachelor of arts degree from Dominican University and a master's degree in social work from The Ohio State University. She has an extensive background in health care marketing, with 17 years in the inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing industry. Renae is very goal-oriented and has successfully implemented sales strategies to produce same store-growth with census development. Clinically, she is a licensed medical social worker experienced working with inpatient rehabilitation patients and their families.

    Jennifer Schroeter, R.N., DNP, MLHR, Director of Quality

    Jennifer holds both a master's degree in nursing and master's degree in labor relations & human resources from The Ohio State University. She has a wide array of experience both clinically and in human resources. Jennifer spent five years as a human resource professional before pursuing her nursing focus. Clinically, she has expertise in neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology and infectious diseases. In addition, Jennifer has a background in quality management, overseeing the quality programming and regulatory survey readiness for hospital and health systems. In addition, she is well versed in Magnet Hospital status accreditation process and standards.

    Michael Heine, R.Ph., PharmD, Director of Pharmacy

    Michael obtained both his bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science and a doctorate in pharmacy from The Ohio State University. He has experience as clinical staff pharmacist and managing pharmacy operations in long-term acute care hospital and acute care hospital settings.

    Mary Jane Lacey, B.S., MBA, Manager of Human Resources

    Mary Jane earned her bachelor's degree in human resources management from Franklin University and also holds a master's degree in business administration from Capella University. For the past 13 years, she held positions in administration and human resources. Most recently, she was a senior HR consultant and business partner at Riverside Methodist Hospital prior to joining OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital.

    Kelly Johns, R.N., BSN, CRRN, CCM Manager, Case Management

    Kelly earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is certified in both case management and rehabilitation nursing. She has more than 15 years of experience in case management working in the acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and long-term acute care settings.

    Clay Schleker, B.A., RHIT, Manager of HIM & Medical Staff Credentialing

    Clay obtained an associate's degree from DeVry University in health information technology. Additionally, he possesses a bachelor's degree in arts from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. He is also a registered health information technician. Clay has more than 18 years of experience in health information management and operations management. Prior to joining OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, Clay was the HIM and credentialing manager at California Rehabilitation Institute in Los Angeles, California.

    Samuel Cordetti, Manager of Materials Management

    Samuel obtained his bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University in Cincinnati. He has taken an interest in supply chain management and hospital materials management. He assisted with the startup of the hospital and has been involved in many projects to contain cost and provide value to the patients served.
